Awesome, hilarious, lovable, and outgoing are all perfect adjectives for any dog. Package them together and you have the perfect description of the Portuguese Waterdog. As a family dog I have yet to find a breed that is more capable of adjusting to their situation as a Portie is. From swimming in the ocean or your backyard pool, to babysitting the youngest member of the household, the Portie seeks to please his owners. Porties are non-shedding and come with either a curly coat or wavy coat. They have webbed feet, making them incredible swimmers. Their underwater antics are amazing to see.
Keep toilet seats down, shower doors shut, and water bowls put away! You will be amazed how quickly these will become sources of water sport. Although Porties were originally used by fisherman to retrieve items that fell overboard on fishing vessels, nowadays Porties are agile confirmation and water rescue dogs. They also make great family pets. Unfortunately they are very hard to come by (see home page.) That's why we decided to import our breeding foundation from a very reputable oversees breeder. Our bitches and sires are not only all from champion lines but optigen A as well to ensure that our puppies will be optigen A. Our Porties are $1800.00+ and come with full registration.
All puppies registered will be registered with the prefix SUNKIST'S prior to puppy's name.
